Rebuilding the Democratic PArty.

Rebuilding the party is not just about securing electoral victories—it’s about restoring trust, reimagining relationships with voters, and building a sustainable, people-powered movement.

  1. Learning Hard Lessons in Order to Rebuild

The outcome in November was systemic. We lost massive vote shares in states where organized Labor is healthy, and where there is sizable Democratic infrastructure.  Nate will form an independent commission to develop a comprehensive report taking a deep look into 2024 and ideally previous cycles since 2012.  Asking the hard questions is necessary if we are to rebuild on a sound foundation.

  2. Restoring Trust in the Democratic Brand

Voters need to see the DNC as a force that fights for them and their families.  Nate will lead the effort to develop a unifying narrative that prioritizes economic opportunity, fairness, and justice for all, with a special focus on reconnecting with disillusioned Democrats and persuading independents.  He understands that rebuilding trust requires showing up, listening, and delivering real results for the communities the party seeks to represent.

  3. Investing in the Grassroots

The heart of the DNC lies in its grassroots. Nate’s vision includes a robust, year-round presence in every state, territory, and community.  By decentralizing the DNC and establishing regional organizing centers in battleground states, he will ensure that local parties have the tools, training, and resources they need to organize, mobilize, and win.  This investment will empower state and local leaders to take the lead in their communities while maintaining national coordination.

  4. Modernizing Infrastructure

The DNC’s organizing infrastructure must be reimagined to reflect the realities of modern campaigning.  Nate will prioritize investments in cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and digital tools to enhance outreach and engagement.  He will also foster a culture of continuous learning by integrating lessons from past cycles and leveraging the latest research to stay ahead of evolving trends.

  5. Reconnecting with Working Families, Rural Communities, and the Overlooked

Nate believes the DNC must double down on efforts to re-engage with working families, rural communities, and overlooked communities who feel left behind.  He will embed these outreach efforts into the DNC’s DNA, ensuring they are not treated as one-off projects but as integral components of the party’s operations.  By focusing on issues that matter most—jobs, healthcare, education, and economic security.

  6. Fostering Transparency and Accountability

A reimagined DNC must operate with transparency and accountability at its core.  Nate will implement a clear and transparent funding model, ensuring that every dollar spent delivers measurable outcomes.  He will also foster collaboration with funders, allied organizations, and stakeholders to align efforts and build a sustainable model for long-term success.
